Garden of the temple is not very big but beautiful, and 15th century painting (national treasure of Japan) was masterpiece. This temple operates inn. If you use the inn, you can experience morning chanting and have special guided tour of its garden and paintings.

This is another interesting temple, with old painting, in a beautiful setting. Once again, the grounds were the star of the site.

This was an accidental find. I was walking past to one of the more famous temples and decided to stop in. The main temple is free but to access the garden and old paintings in the museum you'll need to pay ¥500. Its worth it...More

Overall experience is quite good. Morning exercise explore my sight. Famous painting is worth to see and with Japanese explanation. Beautiful environment. The living area is clean and sanitized.
