The Togetsukyo Bridge is one of the key and popular landmarks in Arashiyama and this place is always packed with visitors to take photos of it. The wooden bridge, spanning over centuries, was built across the Katsura River in front of Arashiyama Mountain, offering nice...More

We spent one day in Arashiyama area. It was hot and humid day, but we rent bikes to go around the area. We went on the bridge multiple times, really love doing that. It generated breeze to cool down ourselves a bit. It is a...More

A nice day with cloudy evening, sitting down enjoying breeze of wind at your face, surrounded by thousands of tree. I would really recommend u take some time. An hour break, sitting at the river side, relax and enjoy your time. Some tips, this place...More

This bridge sits just outside the Hankyu-Arashiyama Station (from Osaka), marking the end of the train line, and the start of a different adventure in Kyoto. Just be aware there are two Arashiyama stations, the other Keifuku Dentetsu-Arashiyama will take you to and from Kyoto...More

The view from this bridge is so scenic. On the other hand it's enough to cross the bridge a once. Because there are more attractive places near here.

It's nice to see the bridge from the riverside where some students are playing or eating during their lunch.

The Togetsukyo Bridge area is beautiful. Such peace and scenic view. Another recommendation is to go for the Sagano Scenic Train, you will see even more beautiful views. A petty that I couldn't do that. But will definitely go for it if I visit Kyoto...More

The bridge has a history. But, the attraction for us was the river and surrounding area, especially on the side with the entrance to the monkey park. It was so pleasant to walk along this river, encountering some shade, watching the riverboats hauling tourists upriver....More

Western Kyoto
Western Kyoto is home to some of the city's best
eccentricities. Kyoto's Saga-Toriimoto Preserved
Street takes visitors back in time to the Meiji
Period, where old homes have been transformed into tea
houses and eateries. Pleasure boats drift down the
riverbank, under wooden bridges that beckon nature
lovers to hiking trails and botanical walks. The
area's famously tall bamboo groves, monkey park, and
