There are currently construction work and almost the entire house and back garden are not accessible. It is also extremely noisy. I don’t understand why they change people the full price of 500 yen for almost nothing to see. They give you a “free” postcard...More

The directions was a little confusing because I wasn’t able to see signboard to the Jizoin while walking the way. The temple was well maintained same as other temple in Kyoto. I went to there top of October so trees were not colored yet but...More

This small temple is a treat to visit- not many people get there and so its a great place to walk around. Ive been twice- in summer and in fall. Fall is by far the best- the paths around are glorious.

After being kind lost in the surroundings we finally found the place. Tough small its so peaceful and give you a pleasant sensation of relaxation! Worth visit if the time in Kyoto is not short.
