Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was here during last autumn after a short visit to Kobe's Meriken Park. A great place of learning i.e aeronautic engineering and superbikes technology. Pretty excited to see the actual prototype of Kawasaki Z1400 plus some "shinkasen" stuff. Will definitely return since this is a great place to visit with a teen children.Highly recommended.

Because a western vessel did not work as it was destroyed by natural calamity, Kawasaki-san decided to make his own, and that took Japan’s engineering and electronics to another new level!
We enjoyed this museum. Very interactive and is suitable for guests of all ages and good for locals and foreigners.
This place is about ten mins by foot from Motomachi Station. Admission ticket is 600 yen per adult. You can spend an hour or two depends on the crowd.

First, there is a special discount price if you purchase admission tickets to the Fun World and the Kobe Tower. I recommend taking advantage of the discount. Start your visit at the Fun World then end it at the Kobe Tower. Try to time your visit so you get to see sunset in the tower. Wow!
Do you want to see a 1960's version of the Shinkansen? It's there and you can sit at the controls. There's a Japanese version of a CH-46 helicopter that you can walk through. Like motorcycles? You'll want to stay for hours looking at them. There are two crotch rocket motorcycles that you can sit on for photo opportunities. There's a Cesna 172 flight simulator that takes off to the west from Kobe Airport and takes you over Sannomiya. Then it brings you back for a west to east landing. Watch for wind gusts on final. There are other attractions including a manufacturer robot and future subway trains.
It closes at 5:00 pm so make sure you allow enough time for your visit. This place is excellent for children of all ages. I'm looking forward to taking my younger nieces and nephews there.

Too tame by far. As an ex-seafarer and still avid motorcyclist I was disappointed. The only ray of light I caught was the appearance of an H1 motorcycle which I used to own in my youth. The other experiences especially those related to shipping were a model boat builders dream but not of much interest to me. The entrance fee was too much in comparison with the Yamaha Museum in Iwata City is free and almost matches the miniscule thrills this place offers. They were lucky to get a 3-star rating after my painstaking reach of the location by public transport.

Firstly, buy the combo ticket (¥800 for maritime museum, Kawasaki world and Kobe Tower). Saves you a bit if you plan going up the tower.
Personally I skipped the maritime bit as I'm not into boats etc so went straight into Good Times World! Really enjoyed reading about all the stuff that they made over the company's history and there is loads of exhibits to look at; the robot giving demonstrations (in japanese only) I found fantastic. Sadly you can go around the whole exhibit in about 15-20mins but even though it was brief, I would recommend a visit

We went to Kawasaki World as part of our ticket to the Maritime Museum, and were super impressed. It was like a small amusement Park full of interactive activities, like robots, films, using a flight simulator, jet ski and racing bike. We were impressed at the information about Kawasaki that we didn't know and were much enriched. Ideally this is for all age groups, especially children, but also has many big kids toys too....gotta go...spent a few hours here, and loved it...Go Kawasaki

I didn't realise Kawasaki had such an impact on the development of robots and machinery. Good history wall showing the changes over the decades. First robot in Japan, leader of motor cycles, space, trains, jetskiis. Interactive model train, robot show, motorcycle race track ride (Good for a first time rider).

I was surprised at the range of engineering that Kawasaki is involved in.. not just motor bikes but also jet skis, helicopters, tunnel boring equipment, jet engines, to name a few. Lots of hands-on experiences and a great place to take children.

Because Kobe bay cruise has a scheduled frequency of about 1 hour , depending on which cruise ship you choose, it would be worthwhile to walk around the area while waiting for your turn. I manage to visit this as part of the Kobe Maritime Museum's ticket and 100 yen off because of my Kansai Thru pass coupon. It's good for families as the children will love the train models. We briefly walk past the exhibition to pass time but we will probably come back the next time when we have children.

We hadnt planned to go here, but stopped because of to warm weather, and it was worth it. It is a part of the maritime museum were they have many models of ships and so on. You have to go through the maritime part to come to the Kawasaki part. In the Kawasaki part you can discover some of the technology Japan is famous for. And then you will come to the Kawasaki motorbikes. You can try to sit on a few of them. They also have a shinkansen, tram, flight simulator and much more. It was interesting and a bit fun. So if you do have time and like some technology it is worth a visit.

On the website, it says it doesn't open on Monday unless it's a public holiday. The museum will close for holiday from 29th Dec 2018. Does that mean the museum is open on the 28th Dec 2018 even though it is not a public holiday.

Hello, are there any luggage lockers at Kawasaki Good Times World?
Written 28 February 2018
For Hand Luggage yes. But too small for a trolley Suitcase. If you have a big luggage you'd may better leave it at JR Kobe station. There are some big Lockers.
