One of many shopping streets/areas in Kobe. Local products with anything possible that you could think of is there. Prices are very reasonable and polite retailers. Good service as the rest of Japan. Definitely worth a stroll (long stroll) down this street.

A typical Japanese shopping mall. There is nothing special about this place which is great for shoppers. Lots of local people so most shops are reasonably price and many have sales. It is not touristy so many of the shops are common brand names. For...More

The Center Gai runs all the way from Sannomiya to Motomachi. With the crazy heat in these days, it is a great escape from the sun as it is shielded by a roof. On weekends and public holidays however, it also gets crowded as everyone...More

Way better than an American mall. You can buy top end - but not international luxury brands. New, discount and second hand hidden away down flights of stairs. More than a mall, this is a 2-3 km complex of streets that have been roofed and...More

A large shopping precinct, with a huge variety of shops, especially sweet shops, specializing in desserts from Kobe. Fashion shops were also in large numbers

A great variety of shops and restaurants are to be found in this long, covered, shopping street. This is a good place to stroll, snack and shop - especially on a rainy day!

This covered shopping street is great if you want to get regular every day items, but we could not find any souvenir type shops here. Lots of variety though, you will likely find what you are looking for.

Great place to search for that perfect restaurant to try next or do some window shopping. People watching prime spot on the weekend. This is the hustle bustle area of Kobe that you can really feel like mingling with locals.

A nice mix of shops obviously upscale and pricey but there are some nice unique shops hidden amongst the glitz.

The closest station would be Sannomiya Station itself. If you have to take a different line in, try to find a station that’s closest to or transits near Sannomiya, as it is a terminal stop.
