原爆で被災した橋の袂にある碑で、予想以上に大きかったです。電車からも見えますので、迷うことは無いでしょう。

原爆の歴史

交通量が多い橋のたもとに碑はあります。たくさんの被ばくされた方が通ったことが書いてあります。車や電車で通り過ぎたらわからないもの。歩いて渡ってほしい橋です。

被爆した橋です。

原爆で被災した橋で今でも昔の欄干を残した橋です。原爆で被爆しても残っていた橋なので多くの避難者が利用したことが説明してあります。被爆建造物としても貴重なものだと思います。

御幸橋のそばに立っています

広島市の皆実にあるゆめタウン広島から市内電車の線路に沿って御幸橋を渡ると、渡ってすぐの場所にあります。原爆が投下された時にはこの橋を渡って多くの人が避難したそうです。被爆45年を記念して、平成2年に設置されました。

御幸橋は被爆した橋

御幸橋は被爆した橋。今では電車も通る橋なんですが、原爆の時にはこの辺りでもたくさんの人がなくなっているのだと思います。碑は御影石のような赤いモニュメント。被爆直後の写真や千羽鶴なども飾られているので、近くでよく見てもらえればと思います。
