Very historic part of the city
Definitely part of the city tour. There’s so much history in this small building. The clock tower that is actually still working takes the cake. They are giving away freebies such as CD’s and brochures, but take note that the souvenirs are quite pricey and accepts only cash. Photo ops outside abound with tourists lining up for pics. Inside get the one with one of the founder I think.

    Nice historical landmark
Located a stone throw away from Odori park and surrounded by modern buildings, it’s amazing that this historical clock tower has stood the test of time and is still keeping time without skipping a beat. The compound is not very big but can get quite crowded, attracting plenty of visitors wanting to snap souvenir shots of this famous landmark. Admission to the interior is very affordable and there are some informative exhibits telling the history of the building and its role in the development of Sapporo. If have the time a short detour to the clock tower would be a nice addition when visiting the city, But there is also no major lost if you give the place a miss due to time constraints.

    Sapporo Landmark
This is one of Sapporo’s most famous landmarks. The 1878 wooden building is reminiscent of simple buildings of the colonial American Midwest. The clock here is reported to have never missed tolling the hour since its installation in 1881. The clock tower is about a 10min walk south of the Sapporo train station. It is open from 8:45am to 5:00pm and admission is ¥200/person. The ground floor contains a museum, with displays about Sapporo and the buildings history, whilst the first floor is an open ceremonial hall. If you want a good exterior view of the building, without the crowds, go to the building across the street and take you photos from the open-air balcony on the first floor.

    Nice small abd cheap museum
The museum is quite easy to reach on foot. The entrance fee is only ¥200. Inside you will find information about historic buildings in the Sapporo area and about why the building itself was build. Some parts of the dusplays are in English, but not everything. It is not a big museum, but considering what you are paying, it is nice.

The building is very well maintained and the engineering behind the clock is awesome but hey … the little colonial house with the George V style windows … does it remind anyone of Maine, or Massachusetts or some other place in the US? It is because this building witnesses the American legacy and origin of the city? Well, if the typical American grid-patters of the streets did not ring a bell, this tower will sure do as it is one of the trademarks that betrays the typical urban setting of any American city. Totally out of contest and disturbing. I was enjoying Japan and was suddenly catapulted in the US

With so many tall buildings already erected in Sapporo, the Sapporo Clock Tower, although a symbol of the city, seems to be somewhat buried in the cityscape. Although the clock tower is not a conspicuous building, its quiet and dignified appearance attracts passersby regardless of the time of day.
The building consists of two floors, the first and second floors, and is accessible to visitors with disabilities, including wheelchairs, as it is equipped with elevators as well as stairs (there is also a ramp at the entrance and exit). All exhibits of historical documents of Sapporo Agricultural College, including the clock tower, are concentrated in the exhibition space on the first floor, and explanations are provided not only in Japanese but also in English and other foreign languages, making it easy for visitors from overseas to enjoy them. The second floor is an entire hall with a bronze statue of Mr. Clark on the lectern, visitors can be seen taking commemorative photos with the statue every day.
There is little in the way of entertainment, but since it takes less than an hour just to walk around, it may be just the spot for a casual visit without being overbearing. Tourist guides are stationed almost daily to explain the origins of the building and the clocks installed in previous clock towers, which are on display on the second floor.

This was my first visit to the clock tower, the most famous tourist attraction in Hokkaido.
My friends told me that I would pass it by without noticing it, but I managed to notice it.
You can go inside the clock tower by paying the admission fee.
The history of the clock tower is displayed, so you can learn about it.
I had a great time enjoying the Western-style building from the early Meiji period.
The building is two stories tall, and on the second floor there is a bronze statue of Dr. Clark, which you can take photos with.
There is also a selfie stand, so you can take photos by yourself.

The Clock Tower is notable mainly for its architecture, which is notably Western. The clock, which is over 100 years old, was bulit in Boston, Mass. The clock tower is one of those things in Sapporo that you really can't miss, no matter how hard you try. The clock tower has four faces. The clock towaer has been renovated recently. Quite a few of Hokkaido's institutions have a Western influence, including the Hokkaido University. The clock tower is walking distance from the TV Tower.

This clock tower has been derided as one of the "Three Disappointing Tourist Attractions in Japan". I was not sure if I would try going to Sapporo for the first time, so I spent some extra time on the last day sightseeing.
It was even more interesting than I had expected, probably because I knew I would be "disappointed."
The admission fee is 200 yen, but if you pay by credit card, there is a 20 yen discount.
Inside, there are displays about the clock tower and the Sapporo Agricultural School, with explanations in English, Chinese, and Korean in addition to Japanese, so foreigners can at least understand the meaning.
I didn’t know much about the history of Sapporo, so I thought heck.
It's certainly not as big as I thought it would be, so I think I'd finish it in half an hour, but it wasn't as disappointing a tourist destination as I thought it would be.

A clock tower inside a large building. It is a wooden building that gives off a sense of history. If you pay the admission fee, you can tour the inside. The first floor introduces the history of the clock tower and the people involved. There is a large space on the second floor. There is also a model of the clock there. It was good to be able to see inside. It's a nice place.

Another of Sapporo’s urban landmarks, with its historic wooden buildings featuring the oldest famous clock tower in Japan and the city’s ten oldest western-style buildings, is this beautiful building located in the middle of the easy-to-track city, built in the early days of Sapporo’s Agricultural College (current Hokkaido University), the bottom of the building showcases the history of the clock tower and surroundings, with the sale of lovely souvenirs before going up to the grand halls on the upper floors, the giant clocks that open inside to us, with pictures of the statue of Dr. Clay, who founded it, and who had time to visit Sapporo.

P.S. has a hit shot angle, so climb a small staircase from the side of the watch.

It is a must-see Attraction in Sapporo sightseeing Guide. Many tourists wait in line to take pictures out front. Built in 1878, it is a historic building designated as a National Important Cultural Property. Officially known as the Old Sapporo Agricultural School Enbujo, it was built as a facility of the Sapporo Agricultural School, the predecessor of Hokkaido University, based on the concept of its first assistant principal, Museum Buff Clark. Inside you can take pictures with Museum Buff Clark. It's white and beautiful.
