    Autumn is the perfect time
Lovely park in the middle of bustling Sapporo. Although there were quite many people, it never felt crowded when we were there, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. There are many picture opportunities. Autumn is the perfect time to sit down, let the sun shine, and enjoy the cool breeze. Highly recommended.

    Odori Park & Neighbouring Lanes
Beautiful park with flowers and autumn foliage. The corn truck had delicious corn on the cob that was worth the queue! Wish I had more of it! The parallel street had a tranquil small park that tourists overlook and locals go there to paint. The park is beautiful both in the day and at night.

Beautiful park in the middle of the city
It’s not very wide but it is long, stretching several blocks from one end to another, with the Sapporo TV tower as its distinct landmark. This open space in the middle of the city is a welcome relief. It is a great place to escape from the traffic and noise of modern city. Plenty of space for people to move about. Visited the place during summer and there are plenty of greenery around and the flowers are in full bloom, making the place so colorful. There are a couple of small stalls scattered around selling ice cream and drinks which is great as you can purchase one and sit on the many benches and watch the world passes by. Look the place.

    Christmas Market and Lights
When we visited in December they had a lively Christmas market and lights. From here you can get a good view of the Sapporo TV Tower which is lit up at day and night. Visiting in December was extra special because they had a light festival in the park. There was a lot of food and decoration vendors but we felt it was a little pricey when we visited and some of the lines were too long for us. We visited during the day but really enjoyed our stroll through the park at night. We had a very good crab dinner nearby and enjoyed a nice walk in the park after. We popped into a convenience store nearby to get a couple of teas as well. There were quite a few slippery areas with the ice so be mindful if you visit in the winter and watch your footing. The closest metro is Odori Station and there is a whole underground network of passageways to get to the surface and where you need to go. We spent about an hour here but passed through the park area quite a few times during our visit to Sapporo.

Big park in the middle of the city. Nothing special but a place to stretch your limbs. Since it spans across few blocks of city space, walking is not continuous as you have to wait for traffic signal

As sun set early coupled with wintry snow, we had a great opportunity to enjoy the White Illumination and German Christmas Market (in Chome-2) all in one go.
We loved the vibrancy of the Christmas Market which offered trinkets, food and mulled wine plus the numerous photo stops along the way.

Odori Park was decorated and lit up from Chome-1 (Sapporo Tower) to Chome-5.
A nice leisure stroll not to be missed!

This is a very huge and beautiful park located in the center of Sapporo. It was very enjoyable to stroll here. You can take photo of the TV tower and also the mountains on the opposite side.

Interestingly, there is an underground street mall beneath the park inking different parts of the city.

A great place for park lovers and revelers. This park is very long from east to west. A view from atop of the sapporo tv tower is the main highlight of this park from summer to winter. In winter, the long stretch of this park is one of the venue during the SAPPORO SNOW FESTIVAL in February, while Winter illuminations & German christmas market can be experienced up to December 24 of midnight. This place is really beautiful during the winter season.

Visited after lunch with family.

Pros:
1) Odori Park is a must visit when in Sapporo. It is a huge and clean park with traditional snacks, restaurants, soft service ice cream, a bubble man, and shopping malls. It is also where Sapporo TV tower is located.
2) My family had a good time because we leisurely walked around the park, had ice cream and grilled sweet corn.
3) Toilet break is not a problem because of several shopping malls surrounding the park, which is always the case in Japan.
4) There are a lot of people, strolling and taking photos. Its a place to people-watch.

I couldn't think of any cons of Odori Park. It is a definitely a must-see.

We went to Odori Park and experienced the beautiful Christmas light-up at the park which was covered with thick snow as it had been snowing heavily that day. There was a German Christmas market going on and it was very crowded with locals and tourists. There were several quaint huts selling exotic handmade stuff from candle holders, glass accessories, snow globes to Russian dolls and music boxes. Definitely like the Odori Park in winter!

Sapporo was our 1st Stop/City of the Rugby World Cup 2019 Tour and it was great.

This Park had been truned into a massive Food & Drink Festival site, 'Free Entry', dozens of Options of foods from all over the World, though a strong emphasis on Japan, abetted by Drink options.

Pride of place was given to a Fanzone with huge Bars & a massive TV Screen showing the first couple of matches (we had Tickets to the Match in Sapporo that evening). A loud, boisterous crowd in 1st Night Party mode filled the arena.

This was probably the first incling that Locals got that there was a sea of difference between 'Footbal Fans' and 'Rugby Footbal Supporters', and boy did they get into it.

Delightful Park, made even more so by the crowds of funloving people having a blast, no matter where they came from, or why.
