We had spectacular views of the snow festival at Odori Park and city right right out to the mountains on our trip up to the top of the tower. A must do when you visit Sapporo.

The observatory was indeed a spectacular one in the trip. However the shops nearby and the entrance tickets are pretty expensive.

Great views of the city at the top of JR Tower during snow festival. You can opt to walk up to the observatory, if you are so inclined to get some exercise! A souvenir shop at the top.

One of the best Spot to have overlook the Sapporo city view from top beside the Mt.Moiwa. It's a great place for family to visit and easy to access.

We came here in the afternoon and what an amazing view of all Sapporo and Mt. Moiwa. As we waited for sunset and twilight just sitting and having coffee, we can see the changing weather, from sunny, overcast, snow showers, snow storm with no visibility...More

Instead of the Sapporo clock tower or Mount Moiwa our group of 6 (3 couples) decided to visit here for a high rise view of Sapporo. For non-Japanese speaking tourists it was easy to find from Sapporo station because of the clear signs directing us...More

It is a very nice observation tower where you can enjoy drinks. It seems they host concerts sometimes.

Well i went both. JR tower is per entry. Sapporo TV tower is nice but i think JR tower will be better for night view.
