Nice park, but nothing really stands out

Nice natural environment, less crowded than other scenery spots in Hangzhou, better air than city center, good for a relaxing walk. But apart from that, nothing really stands out... read more

We were here this time last year before the G20 summit and the gardens were immaculate however this year so much was dry or dead which was such a shame!

I visited here recently with colleagues while in Hangzhou. The park features two types of boats to take you around within the rivers that make up the wetlands (extra charge beyond the admission) and also has nice walking trails. The area is pretty. There are small museums, illustrating life in the area in earlier times that were interesting. Many of... More

This is not what a wetland park should look like. It has nothing to do with nature or protecting the environment of that sort. All I saw was commercialised shops lined up on a street. No boards or signs introducing the animal or plants in the park. Just shops selling stuff and charging you for rides on a golf cart.... More

Originally sited for a high-rise development, the Chinese Government opened this nature reserve in 2005. It is a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle; the boat ride on the canal, the flora, trees all make for a very easy day. There is an excellent photography exhibit, a display of the dragon boats (races held there every June) and something... More

Nice natural environment, less crowded than other scenery spots in Hangzhou, better air than city center, good for a relaxing walk. But apart from that, nothing really stands out. The classic scenery spots around the west lake, Su Ti, etc. are still the best. You don't have to buy ticket at the gate, the park itself is fee to enter,... More

Going in costs 80 yuan, boat costs 100 per hour. It is pretty, but not worth the money. Hard to get there, buses are not costumed for tourists and you have to take 2 buses back to nanshan roud

Boat rides thru extensive grounds normal, as are walking paths. We got a very wet day so it was gray, but glad we went.

A waste green park, well designed for various activities, historical monuments and traditional shopping spots, well recommended.

Well...Xixi wetland sounded a bit like the Chinese everglades or a least a nature park of some sort....I found it highly disapointing. It is just a place with a not so special nature and the roads going through the park are occupied by little trains and cars to drive people around. More a resort of some kind with restaurants, coffee... More
