Faxi Temple is a perfect off-the-beaten-track destination for those who want to experience a little Buddhist tranquility far from the crowds. Compared to the Lingyin Temple, the Faxi Temple is smaller but quieter because it is built on top of a hill. With yellow walls, black tiles, red lanterns, and classic views, it attracts countless young netizens to come and take photos, who grant the temple with the highest number of daily reservations in the city. It is also the holy destination for single people seeking marriage.

It's a very beautiful place, good to take a rest after a long walking trip in the mountains. Entrance fee is 10 yuan, three incense sticks are included (you can use them in the temple). I got there pretty late (Sunday, around 6pm) and couldn't get inside of anything, but I still enjoyed its quiet atmosphere. There's a place where you can eat in the morning and afternoon (if I remember correctly it was 8-10 and 15-17:30).
