This spot should only be accessed via boat riding. There are several types of boats for hire along the lakeside from RMB55 to 150 depending on the type of boats you take. There were pathway around the island for your viewing in particularly the 3 pagodas with holes on each of them so that during full moon period in mid-autumn... More

I had decided to take a boat across the lake for fun, and I chose one that made a stop at the "Three pools mirroring the moon" island. I was visiting on a holiday so there where tons of people, however I can get past that. The island is just a bunch of pathways with some big ponds in the... More

We took a water bus from Viewing Fish at Flower Pond wharf to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon for CNY55. The fare is inclusive of return trip to either Hubin Park, Yue Fei Temple or Zhongshan. Different wharfs are for different destinations. Three Pools provide many picturesque spots for photo taking. It's interesting to stroll on the island and admired... More

要到三潭印月的其中一個方法是到西湖邊購買船票,價格是70元一個人。然後,大家便可以乘船15分鐘到達湖中心的小島。 小島呈「田」字型,島上風光不錯,很適合拍照。 分數:8/10 If you want to visit the island in the center of the lake, you have to pay rmb$70 to buy a ticket first. Then a boat will take you to the island. The island offers a nice view in the center of the lake. Its also one of the special ten view in the west lake. You... More

This was a stop on the boat trip my husband and I did. We didn't expect much but it was a stunning place to view with a whole lot of photo spots. Of course there are many tourist traps on the island but if you don't engage with them, you'll be fine. Well worth a visit while at the West... More

This island is only reached via one of the various boat operators on Westlake. We took the larger, more ornamental barge boats from the city side costing about 70rmb each person, there are cheaper options however. The trip to the island from the city takes about 15mins. Once on the island you'll need to weave in and out of the... More

This small island with its small lakes is a really beautiful location, great for photography. The problem is, the place is absolutely overrun by tourists, so it takes a bit of mental effort to ignore them and just enjoy the beautiful views.

nice gardens and walking paths BUT West Lake is a very popular tourist city so be prepared to share your day with thousands of others - even in winter.

The time i went was during rainy season, so i couldn't prove this as told by the tour guide. The phenomenon is caused by the reflection of the light that penetrate through the 5 artefacts with 6 holes in the middle of the pool that then reflects the image of the moon on the water. Sounds romantic but i am... More
