It may not cover the same area as the Lingyin Pagoda on the north west side of West Lake, but the Jingci temple is still really worth seeing and although it still involves steps and a climb, it's not nearly as arduous as Lingyin. Plus,...More

Despite its location opposite Leifeng Pagoda and Su Causeway, the Jingci temple is serene, peaceful, and blissfully free of the frenetic crowds and noisy tour groups that surround West Lake. The temple compound houses the Nan-ping-wan-zhong (Nan-ping evening bell), a giant bronze bell covered with...More

It is a silent temple opposite to the Lei Feng Pagoda. The entrance fee is not too high. The environment is relaxing. You can get there by bus Y2.

It faces to the Leifeng Pagoda and not crowded as other tourist attractions. Its environment is quiet and relaxing. It is less well renowned than the Lingyin Temple but worth visiting.

If you are tired of huge crowds of bus tourists, this spot will give a little relief. It's right off the south end of West Lake, an easy walk from Lei Feng Pagoda. It's peaceful, pretty, and well worth the effort. Inexpensive admission (10 Yuan.)
