Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent work by the tourism authorities of Hangzhou. They did a great job in restoring the place to its orginal greatness adding also access for elderly and disabled tourists. It is a nice and kind gesture so more people can enjoy this place. From the top of the tower you can admire the scenery below and have a great panoramic view of the West Lake

Pretty (modern) pagoda with views over the lake. Beautiful wood relieve carvings. If your time is limited then skip it and view it from around the lake.

I went to the leifeng tower, it is a friendly site to visit, they provide elevator and lift for old people which i think is very considerate. The actual original building has collapsed and its been reconstructed. We can still see the actual ruins in the mid of the building and it was sealed so no one can get closed to touch it, the reason was many people stole the ruins and they took it as a good luck charm. lol right?
i went to the top floor of the Leifeng Tower, and the scenery was amazing. a 360 degrees of beautiful sight. good experience.

Every Chinese knows Leifeng Tower for that famous love story. However, today's Leifeng Tower was built in the 2000 while the original one collapsed in 1924. Joint ticket of Leifeng Tower and Xixi Wetland Park is RMB120, greater value than a single ticket to the tower.

The visit only took an hour and offers great views of West Lake from various levels and is a great place to take a break from walking. Inside the pagoda features the old foundation from the original pagoda and lots of nice artwork and stories about the pagoda in Chinese and English! The cost to enter is 40 RMB

Most people come here for the views. However there are some artifacts from when the Pagoda was rebuilt. They were not particularly interesting to me. There is also a scroll of the story if the white snake inside.

This pagoda is relatively newly built over the remains of the existing one which has been well preserved. the 2nd floor exhibits the wooden carvings which are intricate and from the top most floor you get an amazing 360 degree view of the city. Ensure you get there on a nice sunny and clear day to get stunning views.

It's worth the value to visit once and see a great view of the West Lake. With that said, only "once". There are much better free spots around the lake that are a bit quieter and you will be able to enjoy yourself.

We were at this place in mid May 2019. The park itself is nothing to shout about, although the efforts in building this new pagoda around the old ruins is most commendable. Unfortunately, the old ruins is as the word suggests, old ruins of centuries old brick and mortar.
However, the "saving grace" is the view from the top of the pagoda. The panoramic view of Westlake is breathtaking. It was so beautiful. And the city of Hangzhou is sprawled magnificiently before our eyes too, blending in very nicely with the lakes.
It is indeed a spot worth adding into the travel itinerary.

The walk to the tower (around the lake) is lovely. We enjoyed the grounds and the views are outstanding. The tower itself is an interesting story, the building style intriguing and the art work impressive. Certainly worth a visit

There are many buses going around the lake. Get off at stops like "Linying" or just "Leifeng Pagoda". Depends on where you are.
