This is a great trip. I love this trip because of the leader Sarah. She taught us history and different stuff in guilin. I love this trip

As a solo traveler (first time China) this was the most perfect agency I can imagine. I contacted several agencies, some felt too touristy or rushed. When I got in contact with Sherry, I immediately saw a difference in the approach. I like that she asked many questions to understand my wishes and needs. We emailed back and forth until I had my ideal route. She made sure all info was clear and set up group chats with the guides before my trip.
I booked 4 days in Chengdu and later 3 days in Zhaoxing with Wendy Wei tours. From authentic local spots to perfect detailed assistance, I'm really glad I chose them and would definitely recommend them. Even on days I didn’t have a tour, I felt secure because of Sherry, Qin, Eric and of course Wendy.
My guides Qin (Chengdu), Eric (Zhaoxing) and the drivers delivered beyond expectations! Nothing was rushed, and they really went out of their way to make me comfortable, even beyond the actual tours. For example, they helped with checking/out, getting train tickets, finding vegetarian local food, and more. They showed me a lot of cool spots where there were no tourists, so I got a real local experience. I feel very lucky to have met them.
Qin is a bundle of energy, and such a joy to be around! As a young solo traveller, I connected with her mindset and look on life. She has the best stories you wouldn’t be able to find online. She taught me a lot about local lifestyle and habits, like how to drink tea, and people's mindsets and habits. Super interesting! As a vegetarian it can be challenging to try local food in China, so Qin took me to some of the best local spots to try delicious vegetarian dishes.
Eric is a very kind-hearted man. He always made sure I was okay and had enough water and snacks, so sweet. We got to meet several of the minorities who still live according to their authentic ways. This was really interesting after a few days in the big modern city. We walked around in these romantic ancient towns, sometimes you wouldn't see any tourists, so it kinda felt like I was in a movie. Also: Eric has a good eye for scenic spots and is a great photographer!
In between and after the tours I had some days on my own. I had some issues with my apps which made getting around challenging. Luckily I had Sherry and Wendy who were kind enough to help me on those days as well.

We’ve previously traveled with Wendy Wei Tours in Guilin and decided t o explore more places in China with Wendy & Sherry again. We had 6 days traveling in Chengdu and Xi’an which ended up to be a fantastic experience. Sherry was always quick to reply and answer my questions in great detail. In Xi’an, we had friendly Bryan as our guide and he’s very knowledge with good command of English. I shall also give a special mention to our driver who drove us safely every day in a very comfortable Buick car. In Chengdu, we spent 3 days with Lisa to see the pandas and explore the surrounding areas. She’s very informative, super helpful and fun to be with. The food and restaurants she recommended was delicious and reasonable priced. Our driver did an amazing job transporting us to different places and always very patient with us. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Wendy Wei Tours. Great thanks to all who took part in its flawless organization and made it so pleasant. Highly recommended!

Wendy Wei Tours helped us organize a custom tour of China over two weeks - their team and all of their guides were very professional and responsive, and even assisted in making some last minute changes to our itinerary when one of our flights was delayed. Traveling through China is not easy for non-Chinese tourists and they were instrumental in making our trip a success. Would not hesitate to recommend.

My husband and I went back to China for the first time after the pandemic and took my mum on a private tour in Guilin. We had a fantastic time with Wendy Wei Tours!
Our travel consultant Sherry helped customising our 5-day trip in Guilin and recommended activities, hotels, and local restaurants to try out. She was very patient and thorough all the way through and answered all my questions.
Our tour guide Eric was fantastic! My mum only speaks Chinese and my husband speaks English but very little Chinese. Eric seamlessly switched between the two languages and made sure both my mum and my husband were well accommodated. He is also very knowledgeable and made sure that we had the best experience wherever we visited: we almost had the Reed Flute Cave for ourselves because of his great suggestion to avoid big tourist groups. We also took a lot of beautiful photos during our Li River Cruise ride because we were always ahead of other passengers in going up to the top deck with Eric's help.
Our driver was very relaxed and pointed out interesting sceneries as we drove among the hills in Guilin - I took some really great photos/videos with his tips.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience visiting Guilin with Wendy Wei Tours. Highly recommended!

Visiting China for the first time after Covid and Guilin/Yangshuo was as we still remember it. This area of China has some amazing scenery and is nothing like the factories in and around Guangzhou. If you’re visiting for Canton Fair or Hong Kong it’s only a few hours away by their fast rail.
We had an excellent tour experience with the team at Wendy Wei Tours and highly recommend this agency. Clean and comfortable vehicle with a relaxed, driver. Professional and easygoing tour guide. Combination of beautiful sights, some history and the highlight of the trip obviously being the Li River. Value for money considering we weren’t taken to any tourist traps.
Thanks for the trip and we look forward to returning in the future.

We had the most phenomenal experience on our private tour to Longji with Wendy Wei Tours! Wendy was a pleasure to liaise with when booking the tour. Our guide, Eric, was knowledgeable and patient with us and our toddler. The driver was so sweet and cautious. This is a really wonderful experience and we absolutely loved all of it! The hiking, the minority villages, the lunch, the scenery.. 10/10 recommend!

Amazing trip and great combination of everything you need to see in Guilin. We absolutely loved the experience. Very caring and professional coordinators and always there to ensure you have a good time. Any and every issue was taken care of, great communication. We had fantastic time with our guide Eric and the transportations and hotels provided were very nice and comfortable.

An absolutely incredible day, well worth the money. The drivers and models for the photography were all exceptional. Even if you only have a basic knowledge of photography composition and camera settings, you will get excellent photos and videos because the models are so experienced and the timing for the lighting is perfect.

We got the recommendation from a friend, I have to say it was really a very good service which was provided by Wendy Wei Tours. Christina our tour guide did an outstanding job, not only that she managed to guide us around the crowded areas during Golden week, she also had a very interesting tour arranged with many highlights. Thanks again Christina to make this tour remarkable for us.

Hi Lannykarta, thanks for your inquiry and sorry about the delayed response as I've only just seen your message left on Tripadvisor!
In terms of tour preferences (if you're still interested of course!), over 7 days you really have a LOT of options! If you wanted a slow-paced tour you could based yourself around the Guilin/Yangshuo area and have a few days of tours mixed in with time at leisure. However, if you wanted to visit different attractions and experience different activities each day, you have a number of choice. For example, based upon our previous' clients visit experience, some of the popular 7-day type tours can include the following:
Option 1: Guilin/Yangshuo/Longji Rice Terraces/Guizhou Province with a loop back to Guilin or departure from Guiyang
Option 2: Guilin/Yangshuo/Longji Rice Terraces and further time spent in and around Nanning (e.g. Detian Waterfalls/Tongling Grand Canyon as well as a night or two in Nanning).
Option 3: Guilin/Yangshuo/Longji Rice Terraces + travel up to Zhangjiajie (with stopover on the way at Fenghuang) with departure from Zhangjiajie
Of course, there are other options too but these would be the most popular based upon our experience and previous clients' interests.

It depends on what you want to see - city, rural/country side, or scenery, or what. Wendy has other offices throughout China so if you get in touch with her, she can give you a better idea and gear your vacation for your interest. Hope this helps.
