Not a top notch spot to go in Guilin, but it has a nice view of Guilin from the top of the peak and few places of interest around it that are worth visiting.

Entry fee too high. It was disappointing to pay so much for one hill and a cave. There is a feeling that we were ripped off.

We visited this place on a cloudy day with occasional drizzling of rain. This was a guided tour. As usual only in Mandarin. Exibitions, majority of the write up are in Chinese with no other languages. So if I cannot read or write Chinese or understand Mandarin, it is a pointless place to visit. I have never visited a place... More

A steep, but not impossibly tall mountain with excellent views, and several nooks of historic interest. Well preserved, and clean restrooms.

130 RMB to have a walk in a park with some old buildings. The only thing that was interesting but very hard to do is the peak. Over 500 high steps (about 30-35 cm each) to get to the top of the Peak. There you do have a wonderful view on the city as you're in the centre middle of... More

Found myself wandering on my 1st day, found this place and just had to go in. What a magnificent place, wonderful architecture and the Solitary Beauty Peck was awesome, hard to climb but worth it.

So to get to the Solitary Beauty Peak, you have to pay an eye-watering entrance fee of 120RMB per person to the so-called Princes City. Sure, it's a nice(ish) tranquil park, but I found there was very little of interest there, don't expect any mind-blowing flower displays or phenomenal landscape design. A couple of bright-yellow buildings, which are reasonably photogenic... More

For a steep climb you do get a great view of Guilin, but didn't find much else of great interest here, a lot of the rest of the areas promoted in the pamphlet where not accessible.

Very boring unless you can read Chinese and are interested in all the faces of old historical men. The buildings are just full of portraits, nothing else. Also the cave that was small and very ordinary. The peak was the only interesting part of the whole thing, but due to this price we left also is disappointed. The view from... More

The peak itself is definitely a must-see place in Guilin. It can be a bit scary to climb up the steep steps, but it is worth it at the end when you can see the entire city, the beautiful mountains and feel this unique calmness of the place. Down the peak there are some other places to see. Unfortunately for... More
