It’s basically a large park with several small lakes with many small bridges, some of them likely will remind you of another bridge you might have seen in another country during your travels. It’s very pleasant to walk around and there were many locals here...More

Other than the drive from the airport to my hotel in Guilin, the "two rivers and four lakes" area was actually my first impression of Guilin (and China for that matter), and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The lakes are perfectly manicured,...More

They have invested a lot of effort in lighting the shoreline, bridges and buildings to make everything look lovely. There are also dancers, drums and cormorant fisherman. Very entertaining.

We also walked around it during the day and they had live music in the area. Good way to get exercise and enjoy the views. Loved the cement pigs they used as barriers.

Took the night cruise for great views, colored lights on buildings, watched cormorants fishing, saw variety of dances (drumming dance, ladies with their long hair dancing). Because the lakes and River Li were low (it was February), could only go as far as the locks,...More

I was on a group tour, and desperately short of time, so I managed only a quick walk at night around Shan and Rong Lakes, and an equally rushed follow up daytime walk around both lakes and a walk along the river. I would say,...More

Doesn't cost much. I guess you'll be all set within RMB500, if I'm not mistaken.

Ticket counter is right besides the place where the boats are docked/tours begin. There are plenty of boats, so don't worry.
