Sacred Heart Cathedral is a beauty of Architecture and Heritage. A place for tourist to click on. The Cathedral is big enough and surrounded by old building feels the style of Chinese Heritage. Recommeded.

We were here to attend the Christmas Day mass. It is my second visit. Beautiful cathedral. The walls were made of stones I think, hence it is a little cold inside. The masses were conducted in Mandarin.

It's a Gothic-style Roman Catholic Church which was built by the French between 1863 and 1888. The church's twin spires rise to a height of 190 feet.

The Cathedral is big and tall. It is situated in a small old town. Surrounding the church, all are old buildings in Chinese style. Therefore, the church is really standing out in the small town. If you want to go inside, really pay attention to the opening hours. Have a nice trip.

Churches are not horribly common in China so it was fun to see such a fine example while walking around town. Quite popular with locals it seems and understandably so. The architecture is very nice on the exterior, did not go inside.

Very beautiful cathedral including the magnificent stained glass windows. From all the people I observed in and around the cathedral it seems quite a popular attraction for the Chinese young adults and youth. Probably not for religious reasons, but likely due to its unique architecture compared to Chinese architecture. It is a working and active Catholic church operating in Communist... More

It is a historical and nice place. I participated the mass on Saturday night. It was a good time to thanks God with the people of Guangzhou. There is Chinese and English Mass. The building is classic and beautiful. It was a little bit hot as no air-conditioner service. It is located a MTR station nearby.
