This is the first place that my Guanzhou local friend recommended, and I was quite satisfied with the visit in several aspects. 1) very accessible with public transportations 2) a valuable chance to learn about the unique 'local' Chinese history, espeically during that particular period,...More

The actual tomb can be explored. Attached is a museum that houses all the items found in the excavation. While it isn't the most well known, it is one of the best examples of a royal Chinese tomb as it was undisturbed before being discovered....More

The Museum was really interesting, with the highlight being the mausoleum and jade burial suit. I recommend also visiting the excavation site of the palace just off Beijing Rd, only a 5 minute taxi ride away.

A well-designed new museum. Good displays as well as explanations for backgrounds well worth the admission fee. It was said to provide free video guides but I forgot to look for it.

The museum is composed mainly of three structures – the three-storey comprehensive exhibition hall, the burial site of the Nanyue King and another two-storey exhibition hall behind the tomb. You can safely skip the three floor hall, and go straight to the tomb and the...More
