Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am Muslim and I am safety Engineer check building. Also, I like old building.
So, I visit Huaisheng Mosque the oldest Islamic institutions in China. This place built in Chinese style. I am happy because I visited this place and meet
Chinese Muslims. This place around 17 mins by taxi from my Hotel Marriot Hotel Tianhe Guangzhou. In my opinion it worth visit if you like old Building or Muslim.

Huaisheng Mosque is one of the oldest Islamic institutions in China. Built in the Tang dynasty, it is a typical Chinese temple but with Arabic scripture. The structure is very impressive and marks Guangzhou's diverse, multicultural history. The encompassing minaret is a major highlight. Many worshipers are friendly and happy to share about the life of Chinese Muslims.

The mosque was built in 627 by Saad ibn Abi Waqqas, a companion of the Prophet who supposedly arrived in China in the 620s. The minaret has a height of 36 meters and consists of two floors, it was the tallest building in the city until the beginning of the 20th century.

Beautiful Chinese-architecture mosque. It is believed to be the oldest mosque site in China, dating back over 1,300 years. Nice and well-maintained buildings and gardens. Over the years, the buildings have been rebuilt, time and again.

I came to this mosque and Guangta Road from Canada in search of my roots. My mother was born in this neighbourhood in the 1920's. She was forced to flee to Hong Kong by the advancing Japanese invading forces. This mosque and Guangta Road were the centre of life for my mother and her family and the rest of the Chinese Muslim community in Guangzhou. This was my first visit to this area and I was accompanied by my cousin from Hong Kong. For me, it was an emotional visit as I walked the neghbourhood where my mother walked. I was very impressed by the mosque, it's glorious Chinese architecture, it's serene surroundings and peaceful vistas which allows one to contemplate God and our connection with other human beings. If I get the chance again, I would like to come back and also visit my mother's ancestral place of Zhao Qing.
