In the middle of a very busy city you can have a nice relaxing hike/walking a beautiful park. Several lakes(ponds) that you can rent a battery operated boat/swan to drive around. Lots of fish to see as well. Could easily walk around for hours. Some good elevation differences as well. Be careful on a hot, sunny humid day!

The statue of the Five Goats is the pinnacle of a park well worth few hours of your time. mention has been made of the steps and slopes but all within the range most able bodied. The City walls are here also as well as the museum. We saw locals practising calligraphy using brushes and water on the pavement.

Such stunning attractions all in one place. The park is huge! There was so much to see that it was impossible to find everything. We walked around on a hot day and there was a lot of climbing involved (you can stay away from the stairs and take the flat and the bridges) we did see the Great Wall and... More

It is a tough challenge to find this landmark as there are many gates to the humongous YueXiu Park. That is, if you travel on the very efficient, regular, comfortable and economical buses. Maps are unavailable in English and Google is not accessible in China so you must have a picture to show the cabbie or bus driver and they... More

Spare some time during your visit to Guangzhou by visiting Yuexiu Park. There's a lot of history, green trees and things to do at the Park. One can easily lose time by wandering from the various attractions being offered at Yuexiu Park. It worth the trouble and time just to laze around... no admission charge for me though.

The park is huge with several places of interest and they're building a pool in the centre which should be completed by the end of the year
