There are many stories of the last months and days of the Tsar and his family. This cross pays tribute to their lives and death in this city. A pass by if you visit the church whic marks the assignation site

This memorial is dedicated to the last members of the Romanov Royal family. They were executed in July 1918 after about a year of captivity. Their St. Petersburg Palace was raised a year earlier and the entire family and some sergeants were taken into custody....More

Yekaterinburg is where the last Romanov Tsar and his family was exiled to, and then later executed. Although the story of the execution itself and the subsequent attempts to dispose of the bodies was both incredibly messy and incompetent I did find the place interesting....More

Apparently the memorial stands on the exact spot of the execution. You won't miss it if you're walking around the church.
