Higher charge for foreigners but never mind. Still well worth a visit. Will give an insight into how Russia turned the tide of the war and pushed the Germans back from the brink of victory. Not one step back.

The museum exhibits everything you need to see about the great Stalingrad Battle. From uniforms and weapons, to photographs of the heroes, elements of the battlefield (Russian as well as Nazi), medals, etc. It's very well organized and the displays are magnificent. Finally, as you finish the exhibits, you get to see the wonderful panoramic, a gigantic round painting that... More

I liked that museum. it broaden our mind very much. It opens some kinds of weapons whic were used during the Stalingrad Battle that was really interesting. We love Russian army & respected all unnamed fighting solders for it.

this will take a lot of your time (panorama and museum both) and some physical activity (you will have to climb quite an amount of stairs), but you will love it, i guarantee. Even if you are not a huge WW2 history geek, just the size and the atmosphere of the panorama picture itself will impress you. The museum is... More

Great museum , do take the audio tour at 100 rb (1000 rb deposit) as the museum is all in Russian. You can walk from the alley of heroes to the museum beside the Volga in about 20 minutes

I loved this museum. It is very cheap to enter, and there is enough here to keep you interested for hours on end. It has all kinds of weapons and equipment used in the Battle of Stalingrad. Pretty much everything in the museum is in Russian, but it is still enjoyable. Outside of the museum, there are tanks and other... More

This museum is absolutely crucial to understanding Volgograd, and in fact even Russia. It now has audio guides in English as otherwise everything is in russian. It can be quite overwhelming as it's really large. But it's worthwhile taking the time, maybe even hire a guide. The importance of the war for this city and indeed this country cannot be... More

The Panoramic Museum Battle of Stalingrad was a great way to learn more about the history of Volgograd and of course the Battle of Stalingrad. The panorama itself was a great artistic depiction that helped to give a person an idea of the battle itself.
