Walking up and Down the embankment during my 3 month stay in St. petersburg was like a trip back in time. This really is the "old world". The Russians display so much heritage and style in the details of their buildings.

The Moika embankment is a good alternative to the streets or even the Neva embankment to move from the Nevsky area to the Cathedral of the Spilled Blood. Nice views and a number of cafés and restaurants.

We were living in Kempinsky hotel, which is on Moika allowing us walking around several times and enjoying the atmosphere

It is impossible not to like small bridges over the Moika River, so famously reflected in Russian literature. It's beautiful at sunset, magic at sunrise, not so during the rain. Plenty of photo opportunities! The life is centered around the water, enjoy!

as busy Nevskyj Prospekt is, as quiet Moika. A nice place to get away from the noise and to get rid of the city feeling
