Try travelling the trans night Siberian railway from Moscow to the northern peninsula of true Russia.. The only way to dive into this unknown culture is to start with the people and explore their history. The Hermitage is true to its name and it's wordliness....More

A vast repository of art and artefacts, give yourself plenty of time and hire a guide, we used Igor Ribin a Hermitage expert, as you will need someone very well versed in this great museum to help you negotiate the huge number of rooms and...More

This was the first site we went to, upon arriving in St. Petersburg. It was impressive beyond expectations. There are crowds. It's not easy to dwell too long in most areas, just because of the sheer volume of visitors. This will disappoint!

This museum is enormous, one can easily be lost inside. All the art work is amazing, but the Hermitage itself is, for me, the great treasure. I fell in love with the white staircase, with the various rooms. Definitely worth a visit

Just walk around the town, take one street and take the other. Indulge yourself with all the beautiful buildings and the beautiful history of this great city.

Visiting the Hermitage was an absolute wonder. It was an experience none of us will forget. The opulence of the architecture left you speech less. The grand ballroom area made you feel like you were in a film. In fact being in such a grand...More
