This massive museum is a must see in St. Petersburg - my one suggestion is to try and get it included on the first day if you are on the two day cruise stop over. We had it as our last stop and everyone was...More

We were on a Celebrity Baltic Cruise and we have an overnight stay in St Petersburg and we visited this museum. It is so vast and the history of all its contents is amazing.

Incredible. The rooms even without the art are simply wonderful. If you are into art allow 2 visits. Private guide is a bonus to avoid queues. Get in as it opens to see rooms without the masses. Out of peak season also a bonus.

This is a must-see for anyone visiting St Petersburg. The most beautiful palace full of history and beautiful artifacts. The queue wasn't wery long in october even though there were apparently more turists than normally this time of year.
