Great St Petersburg Tour

The other recommendation that we would like to share was ”HeyRussiaTours”, the company and contact, Denis, that provided our great 2 day tour of St Petersburg. This was for 4 people only and included, a great driver, a fantastic english speaking guide, and a new Mercedes SUV, and tickets into all of the attractions.

fantastic time in St Petersburg

From the moment I sent the first email to the last goodbye at the St. Petersburg Port, everything was handled perfectly. I emailed back and forth with Denis, and every question was answered, all our preferences were taken into consideration and every with was incorporated into the program at a great price. He made sure that everything we needed and wanted was planned for. Our guide Elena was wonderful, spoke eloquently, and had tons of information, but not overwhelming. She managed to make it interesting to all of us (from little kids to seniors). Our driver Nikolaj was wonderful, stopping at the last second when needed, helping find a pharmacy. St. Petersburg is a wonderful city with a lot to see, and this team made sure that our 2-day tour was a highlight of our long vacation, the strongest fantastic memory. They made us long for more and wish to come back for longer. We would recommend them to anyone who wants to fall in love with this beautiful city and be sure that everything will go well and not to have to worry about anything.

We were on a Celebrity Cruise with a boat load of colleagues and we were the only ones who came away from St. Petersburg with a positive touring experience. We initially signed up for one of their group tours but since we were the only ones, we purchased the private tour (for a fraction of what other touring companies ask). Darya was our delightful tour guide and we were driven around to various sites via a private car and driver. I can't say enough positive things about Darya. We felt like a family friend was showing us around her city -- we came away from St. Petersburg with new appreciation and a broader knowledge of its history. Communication throughout the planning process was prompt and professional -- very well organized. We spent a full day with Darya and we're delivered back to the ship right on time. Highly recommend HeyRussia Tours.

Reliable and informative

Booked a one day tour for early September as its itinerary best suited us. They were waiting as we disembarked the ship (in the city at English Embankment) took my wife and I in a car with a driver and guide for the day as we were the only English speaking guests that day at no extra cost, provided everything as described, including a very nice 4 course lunch in a local restaurant. Had us back on time. Communication when booking was at all times very good. Based on our experience would fully recommend this tour company.

From the very first email over a year ago with my initial inquiry, Anna from Hey Russia, was very responsive, came back with great suggestions , was flexible with our family tour of nine.We had a fabulous time with two days in St Petersburg a day in Moscow and because all was so well organized we did not miss a sight right down to an amazing metro ride. After a very busy day one, with Irena as our fabulous guide we ended on a canal trip with great wine and cheeses and a chance to see St Petersburg from the water. The next day was a very early start 4:15 am to catch the fast train to Moscow met by Denis and taken to the train station where we met our guide Katia who gave us a wonderful full day tour of Moscow. We arrived back about midnight and started the next day in ST Petersburg at 9 am and we completed our tour seeing very thing on our very long list. I cannot say enough to tell you just how good our tours were. Our expectations were high, and were met and exceeded. I am happy to recommend Hey Russia for your Russia tour needs.

The only guide in St. Petersburg you will ever need

My husband and I rarely take guides when we travel but decided to use one in Russia given the language is so different (we are native English and Italian speakers) and we heard that many people did not speak English or Italian so we thought it best to have someone on the ground. Not only was Denis (Italian speaking) and his team extremely well organised and punctual but they really made the most of our days. Everything was arranged perfectly and aside from the usual historical facts that one gets with a guide, he and his team also gave great insight into the country today. They were more than willing to add in other sights to the schedule and even made additional suggestions. I got sick during the trip and Denis was so kind as to call a doctor on my behalf and even go and get me the medicine that I needed to get better. He really went above and beyond and I cannot recommend his company highly enough. Perhaps what we thought was most professional was when we did the Russian Museum of Art one day and Denis, knowing his strength was more in history than in art, sent a colleague to give us a tour while he waited for us at the museum. She (Olga) was brilliant and they made a great team. Do yourself a favor and reach out to Denis and HeyRussia! tours, you will not regret it.

Very efficient service

We booked two trips with Hey Russia and also arranged transfers between the airport and our hotel in St Petersburg. We found them very efficient and easy to deal with via email. The transfers worked perfectly and the trips to Tsarskoye Selo and Peterhof were most enjoyable if a little rushed. They were excellent value and I would highly recommend this company.
