This museum is really good for tourists who wants to know more about the Kaliningrad region. It tells about the symbol of Kaliningrad, amber. Also you can see a lot of paintings, accessories that are made out of amber. Then you can buy something from amber. The ticket for an adult costs about 200 rub

However too much of the rest are replicas and the quality of the displayed decorative pieces isn't a scratch on what you can see for sale in some places. Similarly the lower floor was given over to some pretty poor... More

If you want to know about Amber - you've come to the best place! Kaliningrad is also known as the city of Amber, as the region produces 90% of the global reserves of this rare fossil

Great museum, just a pity that not too much English around, but VERY much worth visiting. Probably the best Amber museum in the world. The exhibition is so beautiful. If you like Amber, this is a must !! And the location is very beautiful too, just near a large park with a nice view.

Small museum housed in one of the renovated structure from Königsberg days. The exhibits are interesting and I was amazed by the stones and fossils. A stroll around the museum was relaxing. There were shops in the museum as well as street stalls outside selling ambers. In my observation, the ambers are cheaper and of more choices in Gdańsk, Poland,... More

Beautiful museum. Many rare exponents are presented there, including a glimpse of the Amber Room. Must-visit for anyone interested in history, the stone and maybe a little shopping
