Cheap as chips! Get to the top and wander up a little further for some great views of the city. From what I have read it is one of only 2 in Russia (the others in Sochi)

I grew up in Pittsburgh which still has two of these, although we call them inclines. Fastest way to get to the Eagle's Nest overlook and a fun ride as well

The whole trip last 2 min and cost 11 roubles so if you decided to get a nice view of the city from the hill definitely go by Funicular

It's definitely worth spending 11 roubles on this ride up a steep hill. Once you've crossed under the pedestrian tunnels and climbed up the steps made from large rocks you get to an amazing viewpoint. Great views of the city and harbour and over to Russky Island. The marriage padlocks all around are interesting too! I walked back down which... More

As said, the funicular was out of order, so we had to take the stairs next to the rails. We could "guess" the view and I enjoyed it in terms of "adventure" and "view" - but not in terms of "exhausting level" :-)

After we explored Eagle’s Nest Monument, we walked by the funicular station. We didn’t know what it is, so we used the stairs to walk down. The steps were quite steep and the condition was not great, we had to watch our step. We found the funicular station at the bottom of the stairs just to the right. The fare... More

The funicular lasted several minutes and cost 11 roubles (roughly 30 cents NZD), and provided a really good view of Vladivostok.

It is a nice experience - cheap at 22RR per person.... The staff are fine - and try to sell a fridge magnet which is also OK. But, really if you can, it is a better experience to walk up to the top....
