If you love frescoes, this late 17 century Church is the place to visit, for its inside is completely covered with frescoes, Initially it was not planned to have a belltower, but 10 years after its completion, they decided to build one anyhow.

Arriving by river you get the most perfect view of this church. This is possibly one of the most prettiest churches on the river. This was another stop on the tour where time was given to wander without a guide. Well worth a visit, even...More

This church is no longer operational and, like the Church of St Elijah, it's classified as a museum. It's off a ways from Yaroslavl's other principal sites- best to take a taxi- and much of the interior is in a state of disrepair but it's...More

This Church appears on the 1000-ruble note. It's closed in the cold time of the year. We were there in May; and it was open. However, it's much more beautiful outside than inside.
