Interesting to visit such a new church.
Sep. 2019
We visited this church briefly having noticed it in passing. It stands bright against the local buildings and is very big! There is a polite security man on entering the site, and staff in the foyer of the church. It’s cleverly modern, but in style of much older churches. There are beautiful paintings and modern icons of many saints. Note - we visited on a Friday morning, but there were several serious worshippers so decorum must be observed. Make sure women wear a scarf, and no bare arms or legs!

Impressive
Apr. 2019 • Friends
I came across this monastery quite by chance one Sunday afternoon while strolling around Moscow. It left a good impression on me, outside it is appealing and I was so impressed with the interior. I understand the present building is not particularly old and that the original had quite some history to it but fell into disrepair during the Bolshevik era.

Awkward appearance
Sep. 2017 • Solo
At one time, one of the richest and most revered churches in Moscow. It is noteworthy that it is supposedly at the meeting place of Muscovites with the icon of the Vladimirskaya mother of God, and to this is sometimes attributed the wonderful salvation of defenseless Moscow from the invasion of Tamerlane. His troops suddenly turned away from Moscow. Many years later, on the day of the procession with the icon, the battle of Borodino took place. Naturally, in general, its favorable outcome is also considered to be the merit of the icon. The main Cathedral is named after the icon. But it is quite ordinary and is remarkable only in tht fact that it became the only survived part of the monastery during the Bolshevik persecution of the Church. On the territory of the monastery was built recently another temple - the Church of the Resurrection of Christ and the new Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church. It is noticeably larger than the old one and, according to its creators, should look majestic. But it looks clumsy, falls out of the existing buildings and spoils with its appearance this old area of Moscow.

Liturgy
Jun. 2017 • Solo
If you are in a position to visit this monastery at the time of the liturgy with the heavenly choir you can feel as if you are floating between the earth and the heavens. There is no need to pay expensive concert tickets in various concert halls, the spiritual music you hear here is not priced.

The best place for listening Orthodox Сhorus
May 2017 • Solo
You must visit it, if you like understand better Russian culture and listen may be the best Cristian Chorus in the world. Not every tourist like to see churches, but Orthodox painting and chorus are foundations of Russian culture. You can see difference between modern life and traditions. The same person like in city, but so far from usual life. Intereting for one time visit morning hours. Prayers start at 6.

Small but nice
Sep. 2016 • Solo
Founded by the Prince Vasili 1st in 1397, it was located near the Red Square but at the beginning of the 16th century it was moved to where it is now, unfortunately the original buildings did not survive and what we can admire was actually built in the later years.
Closed by Bolsheviks in 1922 after a big spoliation of its holy decorations, most of the monastery was destroyed again in order to enlarge the Lubyanka street.
The church has a square layout with an arch opening on the side where the bells are. The domes are Typical Russian baroque.
Right now (2016) a new church is under construction next to it.
Curiosity: in the crypt there is a full size copy of the Holy Shroud (Sacra Sindone) of Turin (Italy).
