My son got to simulate a training exercise involving a launch towards the west - ' nuff said !! How cool !! The guide was good humoured in a Russian way and it was interesting. Its off the beaten track and takes an hour of meandering underground. If you like history - then go - if not it won't be... More

English tours... More

I wouldn't recommend this tour. Our tour guide was very droll. You walk down 18 flights of stairs and an hour later walk up 18 flights of stairs. Can find most of the info online. Not worth the money.

The visit puts you right back in the middle If the Cold War. It's an eye opening experience that lets you reflect on what almost happened...? We were very close to a nuclear holocaust back in the 1960's. The visit certainly sheds a clearer light on which side was responsible for what actions. It's no Disneyland experience here it's the... We pre-arranged this tour in English through Pradiz tours. Easy to get to using the Moscow Metro station (the Pradiz website has very explicit Metro directions that were super helpful). You are taken down into the bunker, eighteen flights down! There is a tiny elevator, but only if you are disabled or elderly I would imagine. You visit several rooms,... More

Bunker 42 offers a few tours in different languages every day and offers a great presentation of what life was like back in the days of the Cold War. The Bunker is 18 stories down and is in an area that can be a little difficult to find within the city. The tour lasts about an hour to ninety minutes... More

We were extremely lucky to happen across a tour in English commencing just as we arrived. There are only a couple each day. We were one of only two families on the tour. Firstly, let me point out that there is a kitsch restaurant on the premises which would probably be suit large group celebrations. We did not visit it... More

Not the easiest to find but worth it! The bunker is 18 floors deep so be prepared to walk up and down the stairs. The guide was friendly and had decent english skills. If you have some time left it's definitely worth seing!

Real history, under a fake apartment building and real church, 18 stories below. Fascinating, and interesting perspective as well. Frozen in time, the Cuban Missile crisis comes to life.
