This Monastry is very beautiful from architectural point of view. To my mind it is better then famous Monastry of St. Ipaty. And it is located just in the heart of the city in 5 minutes walk from the main square. Unfortunately because this women's Monastry travelers can visit only its Cathedral (which is also very interesting), but there is... More

This is another typical 5-domed Russian church built in the 16th century. However the monastery dates from the 17th-18th century. It was neglected during the Soviet era and is now in the process of being restored. The gold coloured domes are very striking.
