It is not as vivid and lively as Victory square, but from the architectural point of view, it is the most impressing place in Timisoara with its baroque buildings, including Catholic and Serbian Orthodox cathedrals and lovely palaces. Enjoy.

If you want to feel and taste hundreds of years of history spend a couple of hours in this place! It's a vivid atmosphere from great baroque building to bars, coffee shops ending with great restaurants! Try out D'arc and go for a ice cream @ Moritz's!

It is the oldest city square built in the baroque style. Back in the day, it was also known as "The Main Square". It is very important for Serbian minority living in Romania being that the square houses Serbian Orthodox church. The square is beautiful with numerous architecturally interesting buildings and certainly one of the main attractions in the city.

One of my favorite places in Timisoara, for sure. So nice and peaceful... Nice buildings, and the church is amazing. Lovely in the light of the sunset. The inside part is a very green park that in particular children will like. Many terraces in the summer - plenty of option for a drink with friends and a great time.

What really makes this square stand out, is the surrounding buildings with there architectural beauty (Baroque expression). Of note is the statue of the holy trinity, another baroque art creation. Also the water fountain, which is sunken from view, back in the day, this fountain was one of only two water sources in the city. The story goes from our... More

The best spot in Timişoara to sit outside enjoy the view and have a couple of coffees/drinks once the little terraces have opened up. This is the meeting spot for young and old generations. Easily combinable with a visit to a club Lateran (Scottish pub and or D'Arc).... check it out if you can.

You'll end up here if you're in Timisoara and it's worth spending some time in one of the cafes or restaurants. I assume it's heaving in Summer, but on cold winter days, it was very quiet. There are several good cafes for a coffee or wine and it's also very close to main local attractions including the museum on the... More

A lovely square, with some wonderful buildings and a range of bars/restaurants around the outside. In a city with few highlights this is a nice place to watch the world go by, grab a drink or just wander round as you pass time.
