This square is located so centrally that you'll see and stroll through it whatever your plans are. It's kind of elegant, with on one end the cathedral and the other the opera. However, the whole place, and certainly the terraces feel very tourist-like.

This is a lovely piazza - the plantings, the fountain, and the view of some of Timisoara's most lovely buildings make it a great place for just about any activity. It's lined with cafes and restaurants, so you can dine al fresco in the summer....More

Came to Timisoara for a day trip and could not get enough of this amazing square. You can walk up and down all day whilst choosing what shops and cafes to visit, all whilst being surrounded by incredible architecture and a bustling city centre. Photos...More

It is amazing how western Europeans seem to think that Romania is a crappy place. This square is just another example of how wrong we are. Clean, well kept, quiet, nice bars. Yesterday there was the jazz festival there

Like walking back in time, so peaceful. Every building is so interesting, non the same yet it all just blends in.

The best square in Timisoura in my opinion. Located in the center of the city between the Opera house and the amazing Cathedral. Lots of cafes in the area where you can sit outside and chill. Gets very busy at night and often difficult to...More

There's usually a lot of traffic, because it's a transit square. There are a few terraces, restaurants and cafés. It's especially nice to visit during spring and summer because the flower plantations are permanently maintained and cultures rotated. During some periods of the year they...More
