Definitely the most beautiful building in Targu Mures.
Aug. 2020
The city leadership, at the beginning of the twentieth century, decided to build a new city center, and chose that the three buildings to be built be made in the Art Nouveau style. It was possible to build only two of them - the Cultural Palace and the City Hall (currently the Prefecture) and the Theater was not built.
The architecture of the Palace of Culture is absolutely superb, made with great attention to every detail, and is in a perfect state of preservation. I did not have time to visit it inside, the cost of a ticket (approx. 3 Euro) being practically symbolic. If you have time, visit it during the day, to admire its architecture, but also at night, when the building is artistic iluminated

Worth seeing !
Jun. 2020 • Friends
This place is a way back into history and it is a beautifull place witch is renovated almoust all but the main atractiin are the walls and different bastions that are in each corner of the wall and you have stairs made of wood that you can climb and see the all yard of the palace .
There you cann spend time on terrase and also they organise theatre shows from time to time and the gardens are beautifull also the church that is inside the premises witch now is on renovation , but you can see it from outside and all the buildings from there are in very good shape and worth seeing .
I strongly recommend !

Amazing Building
Jul. 2019
The Palace of Culture in Targu Mures is one of the most representative buildings of Belle Époque in Transylvania. The monument, erected between 1911-1913 is outstanding both by its interior decorations and by exteriors, adorned with mosaics and bas-reliefs in bronze and stone, frescoes and stained glass windows. From the outside view, the most memorable feature seems to be the colourful, brightly detailed roof.

Beautiful stained glass, worth the visit
Sep. 2019
The building itself has many interesting architectural features, being of Secessionist Art Nouveau vintage, but the stained glass in the Mirror Hall is fantastic, showing scenes of Transylvanian landscape and folk stories, as well as portraits in the adjacent room. The concert hall is impressive (but the organ was dismantled for repair during our visit), and the decorative details throughout are worth a closer look.

Palace of culture
Aug. 2019 • Couples
The palace built in the very early 1900-s is a wonderful piece of art in itself. It gives home to the local philharmonia. One can visit it for its beauty, for the classical, jazz and other quality concerts and for the art gallery.

Majestic Secession Palace
Jun. 2019 • Solo
One of the most impressive Secession building in Transylvania! Probably, the second major Secession architecture monument, after the Black Eagle palace in Oradea (designed by the same architects).
Built in 1907, to celebrate 40 years from the crowning ceremony of Ferenc Joseph emperor, it's amazing how the palace survived the communist era. It was typical for the communists to destroy all the monuments, buildings and inscriptions that may remind people about the monarchy.
However, in addition to the splendor of architecture, The Palace hosts many cultural events.
Came here for a Tonitza exhibition, which displayed rare Tonitza masterpieces from museums around the country and private collections.
