We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good side walk if you have a hour or two to kill. There is still a considerable part of the wall left and a little 2 storey information building.
Dont expect much info in there as most of it is in Romanian. However, pictures of the past speak volumes and the view from the window is amazing!!

The old city walls are neither exciting nor have any attraction for the ordinary tourist. But if one is interested in history and like to feel the past, these walls are an absolute delight. They speak of medieval life and conflicts that have evolved since then. Avoid them if you like immediate sensory excitement, but if you are into reflection and find pleasure in imagining a life that is gone, make sure you don't miss these attractions.

It was fun to stumble across this. I was strolling through Cluj nearby and spotted a sign for the "City Wall". It's certainly not magnificent (Transylvania has other landmarks that are,) but it's worth it if this sort of thing interests you as it does me. There are two stretches of wall that meet in a corner where theres a deep niche. I enjoyed taking a moment to make a sketch. It's completely unprepossessing - there's no signage, information placards, ticket windows. It's just there to be appreciated; it's just another part of the city. To have survived 600 years, 2 World Wars, the rise and fall of Communism and 3 decades of capitalist development is quite a feat.

it is a small and pedestrian street. Nice atmosphere if you want to stay for coffee. On the street there are a few cute little bars.

I wandered by here, not really sure where I was, nice section of wall, the tower has a museum, but I didn't go it. If you have seen other city walls, this isn't too awesome, but it is nice.

But worth the effort if you are enthused with 'old stones'. They are off the major street by the University. There is only a small stretch left but for a medievalist worth the trip of discovery!

During a walk of this amazing city we visited many wonderful sites. There is not much left of the city walls that were built a result of the tatar invasion of 1241. However definitely worth a walk along the cobbled street, taking it all in.

If visiting Cluj-Napoca, the heart of Transylvania, in North Western Romania, one of the most impressive place to visit is the City Walls of Cluj. Actually, there are two places where you could stand in front of such impressive historical place: one is located on the Florilor Street, close to Students' House, and the second one is on Potaissa Street, close to the Opera House. It is amazing how well preserved are these two-millennium old walls and how well integrated in the frame of the existing nowadays city they are. Enjoy!

The walls are beautiful and it's a nice experience to see such a historical construction along with fancy restaurants.

Good spot for nice pictures.

A fine historical rest of the medieval city. Not just on the main streets of Cluj but worth a side walk. Sometimes looks like the De Chirico paintings.
