There are 3 parking lots, upper one offers a grill shack an a couple of small tourist shops, and a great view from the top of the hill. The first one in the walley had mostly the same stuff including the food. The third lot...More

Impressive place where you can see what Mother Nature can create. It's a must-go place if you are travelling in Cluj area. However, please be aware that, during week-ends can become quite crowded and, as the path is really narrow in some areas, can be...More

Close to Cluj, around 20 km, this place is a marvel of nature. Crossed by a river, it will give you a beautiful experience of the real nature. Craved stones by the water and the natural walls will leave you with a wonderful memory.

Turfs Gorge is very pretty and tranqill. It's accessed via Turda and along a dirt road for a short while. The steep sided gorge takes about 1.5 hours to go up and back. There other trails but these go up and over the mountain tops...More

Its a great place to hike, relax and enjoy the scenery. It also offers posibility to do climbing, challenging but not easy. I recommend it for relaxing and nature fun.

Been there 5-6 times and I'll keep coming back. Try walking the keys starting from Petrestii de Jos. You can even camp there or barbecue on la mild slopes of the valley.

This is a really beautiful nature spot, close to Turda, easy accessible and easy to do. The route on the bottom of the canyon is very well maintained (following the little river) and is easy to follow. The walls on both sides of the canyon...More

We enjoyed a beautiful hike through the gorge, beautiful, unspoiled and peaceful. We were a group so were able to organize one of the vehicles to wait for us at the end of the trail. But would have been quite possible to double back too.

How much does a taxi cost from Turda to Cheile Turzii/Turda Gorge? And will taxis be available there to take us back into town a few hours later? I would like to avoid renting a car, but if the taxi is expensive or difficult to obtain for a return trip, that may be a better option. Thanks!

I do not know how much it costs to go by taxi to Cheile Turzii, but I think that's pretty much it. You could go with a city bus to Cheia and from there to walk because it is close! checks on the map. but via ferrata route it... More

From Cluj you can take a bus or a minibus to Turda. From Turda by taxi. I m not sure if there are minibuses to Cheile Turzii. Most people go by own car.
