The place was so nice, as well as the staff. They will greet you with a big smile. I like the interactive presentation that they have & it was well explained by our guide. They were thought so well. I am a sucker for both the traditional Filipino building style, and also gracious older family homes from any culture, so this was a winner for me. It is beautifully preserved (or restored-- not sure which) and well presented. Informative introductory video, but I had trouble with the recorded tour and would have much preferred to be able to stick... More

Wel maintained, excellent presentation by our guide Ren. Very systematic visit, starting with interactive computer presentation. Then Ren, told us in detail all about etnology and history of Cebu island as well as the city. Easy to follow, very interactive, enough space, dynamic story and we where very impresed. Staff is very professional and friendly. You must visit Casa Gorordo,... More

This beautiful ancestral house was truly restored to its glory thanks to the support of the Aboitiz Foundation. One of the few ancestral houses that survived the war and was restored to its glory. Everything was original and it boasts of the lavish and classy lifestyle of the Gorordos.

This place is a bit difficult to find but well worth the effort. It is a lovely traditional building set in a beautiful enclosed garden. There is an entry fee for which you get a personal guided tour of the building and an account of Cebu history. Really enjoyed visiting here. There is also a small cafe where you can... More

Unfortunately, the museum was under renovation when I got there. But what I found interesting is the beauty of the white rock walls and native capiz windows outside that I usually see on high fashion magazine wherein it is being used as a background. And I was still able to find a good stuff. What more if it's open ha... More

a lovely morning spent looking around this lovely old house come museum..the information about the history of cebu and rizel is very good and the walk through the rooms stimulates conversation as well as thoughts of a bygone era...the grounds are very compact but one can just chill out and listern to life go by in cebu back street

Really enjoyed this museum. All the artifacts are original no replicas. The tour guide was excellent and spoke great English. Nice little gift shop. The wood work inside is beautiful. Highly recommend.
