We always run across this monument on our way to SM City. It's an impressive sight in an area where not much else is. Parian Plaza is really just a roundabout.

This large structure is located as a traffic island in the very historic harbor area of the City. The sculpture has attempted to tell the whole story of the Cebu area from before the landing of Magellan, through the battle with the natives under the King Lapu Lapu, The colonization of the Spanish, and the eventual independence of the Philippines.... The rich history of the city in one go, don't spend too much time and for sure will not interest some tourist. But its worth a shot!

At the start of Colon street. Interesting monument and worth seeing considering it's free. Benches to sit. Will only take you five minutes but close to several museums.

Nestled in the middle of a bustling city surrounded by heritage houses and a few blocks from Collon street, this monument can be found while you course through the nearby ancestral houses in the area.

We parked close by and walked closer to take pictures. Very Beautiful Monument. Is a reflection of the modern and historical influences coming together to create the modern Cebu.

The first time I saw this monument I had to tell the driver to stop. It was just so majestic. The details and the craftsmanship are very awe-inspiring. I was undergoing "something" then, but somehow, just by staring at this monument, my troubles seemingly flew away.

You can't imagine the feeling seeing this creation in front of you. Like all of a sudden, it was right there beneath the small houses and some trees. What's interesting was that locals don't know what it's called. Hello people! We should be tourist guides of our own country.
