We went on a quick business weekend and I was impressed. They have a very sound infrastructure. Traffic was flowing even with the local tricycle present. Plenty of places to eat and the Lake has a phenomenal view. I am seriously considering making the move there.

Tagaytay city always being compared to Baguio ha sits own charm, The Taal Volcano Serene backdrop everywhere is inviting and the cool breeze and line dup restaurants. Where would be the best place to stay as all parks and restaurants are crowding? I recommend the Tagaytay Highlands going left coming from the Calamba Tagaytay road before reaching the Palace in... This is one of the top recommended places to bring foreign guests to (due to the cool weather) unfortunately traffic is very heavy especially during weekends. If you are patient enough, good food and breathtaking view awaits.

If the heat of Manila is getting you down than head here. Just be warned that at times your travel time will double due to lots of other people having same idea.

We passed by Tagaytay city while going to Taal Volcano from Manila. Such a nice and crowded city. Many tricycle or bike with 3 wheels. Very simple place

It's a beautiful place, stunning scenery: a lake within the Taal volcano crater, the mountain side covered with green trees, an island in the lake. But due to that beauty and the proximity to Manila Tagaytay City itself is a polular weekend target destination for lots of people from Manila and hence often overcrowded. Anyway, the view is definitely worth... More

The Tagaytay city is located a n hour drive from Manila ( with no traffic probably on Sundays) .Nice place to hangout. Attraction: Volcano and Taal Trekking tour.

This review is quite late. For residents of Metro Manila who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, Tagaytay is a good destination for a quick weekend escapade. There are lot of hotels and resorts offering scenic views overlooking the Taal Volcano and Lake but be ready to pay a premium price.

Traffic is terrible everytime I go there on a Sunday. But at least it was movung ar snail’s pace. However, never go there after the Christmas break, you need a lot of patience. Good thing my accommodation was on the Calamba side. But of course, most of the restos and tourist attractions are in Tagaytay proper. I tried twice and... More

Tagaytay is known for 3 Rs -- restaurants, relaxation and retreats, mostly because the is relatively cooler and not as densely populated as the neighboring provinces. To us who call this place home, it's a City of Character where motorists are courteous and every local engaged in the retail and hospitality business are polite and honest.
