I had an awesome time! The performers and horses were enjoyable to watch. The food was superb! Enjoyed the folkloric dances and got to interact with the horses and go for a horse ride after the show. Horses are well trained and very gentle. The service and attention received was amazing. I highly recommend this tour. Good for family, couples and children.

Taken here by our daughter who is working in Peru and had seen the show before as hired at an event she went to. Excellent display by horses and dancers, who were very friendly, accommodating and professional. They talk you through the traditions, history and training of the horse s, in Spanish and English and there is the opportunity to ride the horses and have your photo taken with them and the dancers. Unique experience, we paid 30 soles each, shows at 13.30 and 14.45 and lunch is available, with indoor and outdoor seating.

We have an increible wonderful experience going to see "The Show of the Peruvian Paso Horse and the Northen Marinera Dance Show" at Fundo Palo Marino. The hosts Federico and Arturo are very charming and they really know how to make people feel at home. The show is in english and spanish. The best thing that we did in Peru was to experience this turist attraction. All the performers very proffesional and all the numbers very well presented. Is only ten dollars per adults and kids don't pay. DO NOT GO to other show that is low level and is located in a place know as MOCHE. We have a very bad experience there because didn't check before. We recommend to check in FACEBOOK this space: SHOW CABALLOS PERUANOS DE PASO TRUJILLO to have an idea of this great turist destination. Also we did our reservations calling to this phone number: 94 831 5055. Hope you all that visit Trujillo, Peru will enjoy Fundo Palo Marino as we did.

I don't recommend this place to anyone!!! The service staff is very slow but the worst are those who claim to be in charge.
I was this Friday, March 29, I made my reservation a day before and it is of no use because they do not have a record of the reservations, other people also complained about the same thing, they only care about seeing your payment and that's it. The food is served cold and does not have good seasoning, but if you add to that the bad time you have to spend ordering your food, they delay and want to enjoy the show.
I wanted to send feedback to the restaurant directly without making this public, just to let them see the points that need to be improved. However, the response I received was worse than the entire service. The supposed manager (photo) or supervisor told me: "If you don't like it, get out!" With that it became clear to me that this establishment has no customer service criteria. I recorded them, because they were very aggressive when they realized that I was recording their actions. Total lack of respect, unprofessional and even if the show is salvageable, it is not worth going through all that. There are other places in Trujillo where you can see this type of exhibition. NOT RECOMMENDABLE!!!!

A pretty low level show, with more dancing humans than dancing horses. Not worth the trouble to go to drr.

As I am quite familiar with caballos de paso (called 'paso fino' in the US and other countries) and marinera norteña (one of the most famous and beautiful dances from Peru), I was 'desperately' looking for a show of this type. In Trujillo, I had figured it would be very difficult to chose form 'many' such shows...surprise...there are only two offers.
Alcor was recommended by some locals I had met and thus we went.
The show itself was well narrated in both Spanish and English, and while it targets tourists, it is actually a place where they do prepare horses for competition in the national contests. The chalanes (that is how the people riding the horses are called) were actual working people (not quite 'professionals for show, but that is what they do in real life) and quite good. They did show quite well the strong relation between the chalan and the horse and demo some of the common traits of the horse. Remember, these are normally working horses in a coastal farm (though the one in the show were more for contests they still have their share of real work). Mixed in the show was also marinera dancing. The performers were not top of the line but good enough to present a really nice show, all up close and personal. For the uninitiated: there is a national marinera norteña contest every year (with categories per age) and the winners are just out of this world in how they dance and what they can do -but that is another report-.
All in all, a really good show with authenticity and not just a tourist show. The performers were really passionate about their art (though as I noted, this is real life for them) and showing it to the public.
As the show went on and different aspects of the paso fin horse and its work and training were shown, the narrator would explain what those meant as well as pointing out specific details that otherwise would be missed. For example, one number was to show how smooth these horses ride: called the 'pisco test', an aid pours pisco (national spirit) into a glass and pass it on to the chalan (rider) who then proceeds to gallop around on the horse without dropping a single drop while he has the arm extended with the glass at end. And you could see that is not that he is doing a great effort, the horse ride is really that smooth (as compared to a standard horse of course in which you are basically jumping up and down).
Highly recommend if you happen to be in Trujillo.

We really loved the whole show. The horse were beautiful as were the dancers. Everyone was so kind and welcoming!! We don't speak Spanish so the owner offered to translate the show in English for us. The show would have been great anyway but this just added to our excellent experience. Don't miss this show when you are in Trujillo.

I hadn't planned to attend this but my travel agent fit it in my day of touring around Trujillo. And am I glad that he did. It was a well priced adventure and the horses and their skills were amazing. There were only 10 of us there which was sad as the price was so good and the obvious love and talent was there. So I hope that people will read this review and when visiting this area make the effort to go and see this spectacle.

We came to Trujillo for a weekend getaway. Caballo de Paso is a very good opportunity to learn about these horses. The announcer was a breeder and was very passionate and proud of his horses. The demonstration was narrated in Spanish and english. He demonstrated the uniqueness of this breed in a very entertaining way. I especially enjoyed the marinera dance at the end of the demonstration.

Behold the world smoothest riding horse, the majestic Peruvian caballo de paso. The show was entertaining and fun as horses dance with people. The show is narrated in English and Spanish! If you have the opportunity take advantage of it and see the show!

Hola Doris. No estoy buscando opiniones del show de caballos, pero si del Magicperu aparthotel y en tu opinión de los caballos, es el único lugar en tripadvisor donde se menciona este alojamiento. ¿Te alojaste ahí? Me puedes contar tu experiencia? Gracias
Written 28 March 2018
Gracias pero no, no me confundí. La persona que opina sobre el show de caballos menciona un alojamiento y sobre ese alojamiento le pregunto. Gracias

We are arriving on the Oceania ship Marina, at Salaverry morning of April 29, 2016. On a previous trip we enjoyed our visit to your farm. But the Oceania ship does not have any excursion. So:
1: How do we get to you?
2. Is it possible to arrange to rides a Paso horse?
