Definitely worth a visit. This plaza has lots to see, including a Japanese garden. There were many people sitting in the plaza and we found many of them wanted to talk to us and find out about us, and share stories about Paraguay! You don't...More

In South America, the heart of the city centre is always the plaza and Encarnacion's is a large space, filled with families and youngsters. It's lively and has a good atmosphere, but it's a terribly poor 'sight' for tourists and it's a bit sad it's...More

Due to the name, i was expecting some old colonial buildings . Nevertheless, it was a pleasant walk, with corners dedicated to different immigrants communities. just lucky it was a national day, so there was a plus with Paraguay flags embellishing it.

This plaza de armas is a perfect place to relax in the middle of the city. There are plenty of benches and shade on the sunny days. The abundance of greenery makes it a very peaceful and pleasant place.

Surrounded by a couple schools, some shops, a few banks, and a Ukranian Orthodox church, this peaceful little plaza has something for everyone. A new park (2014) offers kids swings, slides, see-saws, and several little castles to run between. There are even two special swings...More
