I had repeatedly gone there at the correct time of day and have yet to see a Quatzal there. I believe it has become too popular a spot. Quatzals prefer seclusion. Maybe I didn't go far enough down.

Take a taxi for 3 Dollars each to the entrance of the park or use the bus which is starting coming from the park on the main road 300 meters on the right side. The bus will not stop on the entrance directly so you have to walk a while. Entrance fee should be 5 or 6 USD, but there... More

This was a great way to explore the local flora and fauna. we hiked up from boquete and went in for a couple of hours and returned the same way. It was peaceful not feeling rushed. some people go all the way to Volcan. Not us, we wanted to focus on nature. Was well worth the time investment.

I was having high hopes for this hiking looking forward to see Quetzales but unfortunately, It rained the whole day, so we saw ZERO. The road was very slippery and muddy. Get good hiking sticks and appropriate gear if you are doing this trail in case it rains. If you do this from Cerro Punta to Boquete, most of the... More

We are have hiked many trails all over the world and are physically fit, but this trail is very strenuous, muddy and slippery. There were times we went up and down steps made of wet slippery sawed logs which were placed too far apart to comfortably use so you have to find another place to step which can be in... More

This is a nice walk through forestry. It's a $8 taxi from the town (think you might be able to get it for $6). I costs $5 and takes about 5hrs. We didn't see Quetzales but it's still enjoyable.

This is a nice long hike along the pipeline trail. The Quetzal birds, although difficult to see are present along the trail. We encountered them about 45 minutes in. The trail is not steep although you are traveling up hill most of the way. Suprisingly we encountered no bugs, so it was very pleasurable. We turned around after an hour... More

We sadly didn't see any quetzals but it was a nice way to spend 4 hours. You can get there by catching a collectivo bus from the centre of Boquete for $3 each. You wait a little while for the bus to fill up a bit. Otherwise it is about $7-10 for a taxi. The walk does not need a... More

We didn’t walk the whole trail, just a couple of km. We were there for a few hours though and saw so much wildlife. It was fantastic. At one point it seemed as though there was a quetzal in every tree (slight exaggeration but we did have an excellent guide). We also saw a couple of three wattled bellbirds, along... More
