I took a guided hike. It’s beautiful hike. Moderately difficult. Nothing too amazing relative to the scenery around (which is beautiful in its own right). Good hike tho, definitely worth it. I probably wouldn’t be kids on it as a few parts are moderately difficult...More

You can't beat a hike for a $2 entrance fee. Even in the rain, you'll find the trail to be peaceful, not really too challenging and scenic. The payoff to your work on the trail is at the end. It's well worth seeing the waterfall!

We hiked the pipeline trail and found the flora and fauna to be wonderful.. Didn't see any quetzals which would have been perfect, but the hike was challenging enough yet very doable with sturdy shoes. The pipeline shows up occasionally along the trail as a...More

We were able to spot several Quetzals in early June. The trail is easy and very interesting, crossing a couple of brooks and streams, with a lot of flowers and plants to admire. There is 1000 year ash tree which is well marked. Our guide...More

Felix with Beyond Adventure Tour group was a great guide with lots of information on plants and animals and patience with the group. He used a green laser pointer to help us locate birds and things of interest without putting the laser dot directly on...More

We loved the ease and beauty of the pipeline hike among the waterfalls, rainforest and 1,000 year old trees! Highly recommend bringing water and bug spray.

We hiked the pipeline trail all the way up to the waterfall. Most of the hike was fairly easy but there are sections with lots of large rocks so it's best to wear supportive hiking shoes. My running shoes left me with sore ankles. We...More

We did this hike in mid April, as a second hike for the day after the 3 waterfalls. The hike is also referred to as White Rock Trail or Cascada Escondida. Local bus ride from Boquete town to the trailhead is $2 per person and...More

The Pipeline Trail is a quiet walk through a mountain rainforest. We did not get all the way to the wispy waterfalls due to a landslide on that part of the trail. But we did see the 1000+ year old tree that is very impressive...More

It appeared perfectly safe to us. The trailhead is not clear. At the trailhead there is a kiosk (no one mans it) and there is a small fee to enter. However, we started at 9:30 AM and no one was at the kiosk. Regardless... More

The Pipeline trail is closed at night. Also not sure why you would want to hike it at night nothing to see unless you were hiking on a full moon but it would be much prettier in the sun. Richard C is talking about the... More
