Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thanks to a private tour we had the opportunity to see the mosque and understand the importance it has for the Omani people.
Knowing that it is the second most important mosque I expected much more.
But overall very nice.

Clothing is very important, you will be scrutinized and watched throughout your stay. No shorts for women or men, no short sleeves, hair and neck covered for women.

This is certainly a place well worth visiting. I think it is one of the most important touristic landmarks in Muscat. The Mosque is a marvellous achievement of architecture. To my mind, it embodies the spirit, culture and religion of the country in a beautiful and impressive way. It is surely a place to visit when in Muscat.

When in Muscat, the visit of the mosque is an absolute must. Architecture, decoration, garden - all of best quality and style. Make sure you dress decently.

A visit to this mosque felt more relaxed than to other mosques I had been to. Ladies have to cover their heads and shoes are off but the huge carpet inside is lovely and there is some nice detailing in the building.

It is a beautiful mosque right in the center of Salalah city. We entered the premises and looked inside the mosque. It is also exquisitely beautiful and decorated inside.

Nice and good works but small if we compare to grand mosques,
Beware women are not allowed inside the main area.We came to know that very late and just for entrance also you need your head to be covered with shawl and full covered dresses, for the timing you have to come before the prayer times then it's open,
