Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If Jabal Samhan was my first time visit to a mountain top, I would surely love it. It has cave shaped rocks & has a view of the vast land leading to the ocean. There are good spots to take photos. I am guessing its greener in the rains.
There are Jebel Jais & Jebel Hafeet in UAE & Jebel Akhdar near Muscat, which offer far better views & experience compared to this one. So, not a great experience overall.

As part of the Eastern Salalah tour with our amazing tour guide Mohammed Rafit Ali, the route to get there was windy and hilly but once we reached there, the views were simply breath-taking but it was a little cooler and a bit windy up there, and if you suffer from vertigo-related illnesses and imbalance, I would not recommend it. There is a small stall there at the car park for hot and cold drinks.

Beyond Al Mughsail beach the road rises steeply up the mountain, descends to cross a wadi, then climbs again. The views are wonderful when you can find a place to stop...look out for camels in the road!

Worth hiring a car to drive out and see the view. It is spectacular and a highlight of our trip. There are no facilities so go prepared!

This is a view point in were the views gets change time to time based on the climate in the area.
The view from here is some times fog, some times landscape and it's worth visiting.
The drive till this point is another highlight through the mountains and greenery and one can enjoy the driving, beware of camels crossing on roads.
Small eatables like corn, other fruits, water available at the point, also a decent bathroom facility for both men and women was available.
Normally not so crowded area, and there is space to park your car.
A must visit place while travelling to Salalah.

Picnic spot which made on sky! Beautiful scenic views everywhere. Apt place to spend family with kids. A long drive through the hill top by curved roads are amazing. Beware of animal crossing while drive. The sunset from the view point is amazing. Try to watch sunset on top of Jabal Samhan.

A great drive through the mountains. Take your time because there are many cows and camels in the road. Once you arrive, walk to the end of the paved path. View offers canyons, dry river beds and more. It’s the highest peak in Oman and you won’t be disappointed.
