Very big fort. Lots of rooms, but nothing is left beside the walls. Ample free parking outside, if you are on that road you cannot miss it. Around the fort there are still lots of defensive, smaller walls.

We based ourselves in Bahla for visiting Al Hoota caves and driving to the mountains for visiting Ghul village. Bahla is pleasant enough stopover with this nice fort which is sadly not illuminated at night.

Nicely renovated, fairly large fort complex in Bahla. No furniture or decoration, but many rooms to explore. Some rooms house bats, don’t get scared when you startle them. The tower features nice views of the area, too.
Recently restored, this is probably the largest fort in the area. It is great to wander round, we were there on a Thursday in April and it was very quiet, almost had the place to ourselves. There didn't appear to be an audio guide, and...More
