Walvis Bay Waterfront has good bird congregations, but we were told late evenings were the best time in terms of bird concentrations.

This is one of the Places that you should seen.Beautiful and still untouched ! Loved the colour's and peace of mind around the sea. It's almost a must to get here. Enjoy the Coast and contrast to the Sea, the desert. Fantastic .

We really enjoyed going for a walk on the waterfront. The lagoon is packed with flamingos and pelicans you can just spend hours looking at them sitting on a bench. Very relaxing and just beautiful.

A good leg stretch walk from the docks. We enjoyed the Pelicans and the bay view, but this is a very sleepy town!

Walvis Bay is the perfect spot to take a short boat ride and get to see marine bird and wildlife. Seals, flamingoes, pelicans and more if you are lucky. This is a great ad on to the Namib Desert.

It's not very large, but the waterfront shops and restaurants are quite charming in Walvis Bay. What a cool oasis on the coast of Namibia. If you ever have a chance to visit, don't miss the opportunity.

Possibly due to the tide or season but the flamingoes were surprisingly and disappointingly absent - with only and a few standing around. We did however see pelicans that made the disappointment more bearable. We will be back!!
