Learn more about the dunes and fall in love with the desert!! The vehicle was clean, comfortable and in excellent condition. What a fun and entertaining morning. Chris is passionate about educating tourists. It was a great mix of searching for and learning about the 'little 5' and an exciting drive over the dunes (felt like a roller coaster at... More

This is something I would never have considered, but I am so glad we went. It was absolutely fascinating to learn about life in the desert, and Dayne was amazing how he found 2 different snakes, 2 chameleons, a scorpion ........ Also the formation and make up of the dunes, which are all covered in tiny footprints he could identify.

I suspect most people have not spend a lot of time in the desert, so this is a very interesting tour. We did not book in advance, so all morning tours were booked up and we settled for the afternoon tour, which is less desirable as the animals are more in hiding than in the AM. Nico, our tour guide... More

Very interesting tour. We saw Chameleon, spiders, snake.. But we were too many people, so there was less time for taking pictures.

A group of 12 of us went with Living Desert Tours on a 3 hour safari in two vehicles. We had a guide who was so knowledgeable and hands-on that we learned more in 1 hour than in a whole week's worth of tours. It was a stimulating trip.

Lovely tour with great knowledgable staff. Guides told stories and made it enjoyable for all ages in both English and German. You learn about the desert, wildlife and living in and around Swakopmund. We saw all of the animals on the "Little 5" list and more plus finish off with dune exploration before heading back. Enthusiastic staff and good vehicles... More

As others have said, a must do whilst in Swakopmund. Entertaining, educational, informative just brilliant. It's just as much fun as searching for the Little Five as for the Big Five although success cannot always be guaranteed I'm sure. We were lucky and found them and got some great photos too. The tour is just as much about everything else... More

Driving over the dunes and seeing the mini five animals was really interesting. Above expectations. The guides were informative, relaxed and fun! You would not believe how many different species exists in the dessert. The views are also great for those who like to take pictures.
